Panthers Commitment to Child Safety

The Eltham Panthers Netball Club is committed to supporting and upholding the New Child Safe Standards developed by the Victorian Government and applied as of 1st of July 2022.

Our club has implemented a Child Safety Officer(s) position, where any questions or concerns can be raised, in person or via email at childsafety@elthampanthersnetballclub.com.au

The Standards focus on creating consistency with the National Guiding Principles, safety for First Nations children and young people, involvement of families and community in organisational decisions, management of the risks of child abuse online, and outline actions organisations must take to keep children and young people safe.

Every person in our netball community has a responsibility to understand their role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care. These Standards are in place to ensure that we create a culture and environment within our sporting club that is supportive and protective of children.

How to raise a child safety complaint

Our club has developed this summary flowchart for reporting and managing a concern or incident around child safety. Further details can be found on the Netball Victoria’s How to Raise a Complaint Factsheet
