Coaches, we’ve got you covered
If you’re interested in becoming a coach, you can register your interest here.
We want to ensure that your children are learning netball from both professional and accredited coaches. That’s why we’re investing ‘boots and all’ in our Coaching Program. If you’re the parent of a child registered to play at our Club, or if you’re a player 14 years old and up that plays with our Club, then read on.
Nardelli Coaching
Lauren and Rob from Nardelli Coaching have been friends of the Panthers Junior Netball Club since its inception. Whether it be running extra sessions for those netballers keen to lift their skills or providing independent feedback at our grading trials (and much more), they’re a part of what makes our Club tick. This year we’re solidifying our Partnership.
Together, we’ve mapped out a coaching program that will assist experienced and beginner coaches alike.
Nardelli Coaching be attending and observing our coaches across several match days during our Autumn and Spring seasons, giving feedback individually at training sessions and to the coaching group via development workshops. These workshops will be tailored to the needs of our coaches, based on Lauren and Rob’s observations and specific questions asked by our coaches.
We couldn’t ask for a better coaching partnership.
The Netball Coach
Nardelli Coaching will provide our coaches with specialist, written resources.
Our coaches will also have access to The Netball Coach, an online netball drills and skills resource with a huge library of videos for coaches at every level. Their experts are coaches, players and physiotherapists that are currently involved in the game and have a wide range of experience working with players of all ages and abilities. Each of our coaches will have access to a subscription to this amazing resource whilst they are a coach at our Club.
Netball Australia – Foundation Coach Accreditation Online Course
Netball Victoria offers our coaches opportunities to progress through the Netball Australia’s Coach Accreditation Pathway. The Framework can be found here.
We encourage our coaches to undertake the Foundation Coach Accreditation Online Course. Course fees will be reimbursed on completion. This course is fully online and self-paced and consists of 5 units that take around an hour each.
Netball Victoria Membership
All coaches are required to purchase a Netball Victoria 12-month membership . Again, reimbursed by the Club.
Club Equipment
The Club will provide our coaches with a fully kitted out Coaches bag with playing bibs, training bibs, first aid kit, coaches handbook etc and a bag of netballs to use throughout the season (and return at the end).
Coaches Co-ordinator
The co-ordination all of these fantastic coaching resources takes an extra special human. Jo Davidson, a current Panthers coach and player parent has volunteered to do just that. Your contact point for all things coaching, Jo is devoted to helping you have the most rewarding year possible with the Eltham Panthers Netball Club. As a coach, you’ll also have a Team Manager to manage all inter-team communication.
Training and Match Day
Our matches take place on Saturday’s anywhere between 9am and 4pm, depending on the age group you are coaching. We train for an hour every Thursday at the outdoor courts in Templestowe and have all 8 courts booked from 4pm to 7pm.
We split our teams training times to accommodate those Assistant Coaches who also play, so that they can coach and train with their teams, one after the other. If other commitments don’t allow you to make it Templestowe in time for a 4pm start, there’s flexibility for you to propose another time on that day. Sometimes just pushing the start time out to 4.30pm or 5pm is a big help to our busy lives.
