First Nations Design Story

In 2025, Claire Stronge (Our Grants Coordinator) championed the cause to find an indigenous design artist, and create a story that could be depicted on our training & coaches tops.

Teagan is a Kamilaroi designer, digital illustrator, and founder of Studio Tea. After a decade in Melbourne, Teagan and her family have settled on the Surf Coast of Victoria, now calling Wadawurrung Country home.

Through Studio Tea, Teagan creates playful, bold and vibrant vector designs inspired by Country, culture and community.

“I’m passionate about sharing stories that speak to the lived experiences of First Nations people today, and what it means to me to be Aboriginal at this time and place. If my work inspires, challenges and connects people, I feel proud.”

Through a collaborative process between the Panthers and Teagan, the club sought to create a respectful, inclusive, and timeless design that our present and future club member families would be proud to wear, representing and honouring elements of Country and our club’s community.

Our 2026 & beyond training tops…

The flowing lines have been used to acknowledge the club’s connection to Country and represent the Birrarung (Yarra River), which nourishes and connects Taungurung, Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Boonwurrung Country. Eltham and Templestowe are rich in native fauna, many of which are now endangered. Throughout the design, possum, bird, and kangaroo tracks have been included; the presence of these reflects the diverse, complex and reciprocal nature of Country, and reminds us of our responsibility in its continuous care. Featured in the design is the Eltham Copper Butterfly, a species found exclusively in Victoria and protected locally. Once thought to be extinct, it was rediscovered in Eltham in 1986. Its inclusion is a powerful symbol of resilience, strength and determination reflecting many of the Eltham Panthers Netball Club’s values.

A recurring circular motif is found throughout the artwork. This symbol was developed to represent gathering, connection, community and growth, values that are sacred to the heart of the Eltham Panthers Netball Club. Seven players are positioned within the circle, representing the teamwork and trust required for success on the court.

EXCITING UPDATE: A Fresh Approach to Training tops – 2026 and beyond!

Historically, our training tops changed each year to reflect sponsor logos, meaning players received a new top annually that was later recycled. In line with EPNC’s commitment to sustainability, we’re introducing a more consistent and eco-friendly approach.

From Autumn 2026, every registered player will receive one fully funded training top, proudly featuring our Diamond sponsor Leaptel. Thanks to Leaptel’s three-year partnership, this design will remain the same for the next three seasons—helping us reduce waste while keeping our team looking sharp.

This ties in beautifully with our newly released First Nations Design, which will feature on our training tops from 2026! Together, we’re building a stronger, more sustainable, and culturally inclusive future for EPNC.

Who receives a training top?

All players registering in 2026 will receive one fully funded training top.
Any new members joining in 2027 or 2028 will also receive one.
(Please note: training partners are not included.)

Missed your allocation?
If you missed the initial distribution in 2026, please contact our Uniforms Coordinator at Uniforms to arrange a fitting and collection.

Need a replacement?
If your player grows out of their top or loses it, you can order a replacement via our website for $25 (RRP $37). This price is partially subsidised by the club and may change in future seasons.

End of Season Celebration

The 2024 netball year wraps up on Saturday 30th November.

Our younger groups – NetSetGo, U9, U11 and U13 teams are all invited to a fun night at Skaterz! Starting at 6pm, entry and skate hire costs are covered by the Club. Parents are required to stay with their child at this event. Throughout the night, all teams will be presented with their team medals and awards. Please Register Here by 28th Nov so that we know you are coming!

Our AGM will also take place at Skaterz, beginning at 7.30. During the AGM, we will be presenting our two Club awards – Morrison Kleeman Life Membership Award (nominate here) and the Leaptel Club Person of the Year Award (nominate here). Nominations are open until 1st November.

U15 and U17 teams, along with their Coaches and Team Managers, will enjoy dinner and celebrations at The Main, from 7pm.

To assist with bookings, please Register Here for The Main, by 28th Nov. (Coaches and TMs please also register your attendance!). Club and team awards will be presented at this event. Parents are not required to attend.

We look forward to seeing our members at these exciting events to celebrate a successful year as the Eltham Panthers Netball Club.

Registrations for the 2025 Autumn Season is OPEN

The 2024 season has flown by, but we are thinking about our 2025 Autumn season already!! We are excited to announce that registrations are NOW OPEN for the upcoming 2025 Autumn season, which commences in Feb.

The easiest way to register is via the Netball Connect App on your phone – click More (bottom right) and select Register.

If you are registering from a computer, please Register here or use the Registration Page.

Please be sure to:
– select Eltham Panthers Netball Club (not Eltham Netball Club)
– select Autumn Season 2025

For families registering two or more children, a 5% discount on your fees will again be applied automatically at the checkout for your second and third family member.

When registering multiple players, click ‘Add Another Participant’ during the same registration, to receive the family discount.

Registrations will close early in 2025, so make sure you get in quick.

Nardelli Holiday Program

Holiday Clinics

Hi all!

Registrations for our July school holiday programs are now open.

Our highly experienced and knowledgeable coaches will guide participants through skills, drills, match play and fitness training. Our clinics are designed to be fun and engaging with lots of opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends.

Pop-up sessions are open to players aged U13+ and will specifically target positional skills and strategies. These sessions are delivered by Lauren and Rob at our Templestowe location.

Our half-day Knox Clinic is delivered at the Knox Regional Netball Centre. This clinic is open to U9+ aged players and focuses on attacking skills, defending skills, match play and an introduction to fitness/strength.

Our full-day clinic is open to players of all ages and ability levels and provides for some great off-court activities as well as all the regular on-court programming. Participants have the opportunity to enjoy new activities and learn new skills in addition to netball. We also provide morning tea and will have some specialist guest coaches.

Our clinics fill quickly so please get in fast to avoid missing out!

Eltham Panthers FAQ’s

What happens after I register?

Firstly, WELCOME! Secondly, you should receive an email confirmation. You will be added to our mailing list and will receive club information when it is distributed. The only thing left for you to organise is your uniform. You can find all of the uniform information here.

How do I order my uniform & training top?

You can look for a second hand uniform via our Facebook Group or click here to purchase a new uniform and see more FAQs regarding the new and exciting changes regarding training tops!

What age group will I be in?

When you register with our Club, the system (Netball Connect) will automatically register you to the relevant age group according to your date of birth. More information can be found on our Registration Page.

Can I join a team if I have never played netball before?

Yes! We are a Community Club who welcomes all skill levels, including beginners. We have different divisions which accommodate different skill levels to ensure suitable competition at each level.

When and where do Panthers train and play?

Most of our teams train and play at the Templestowe Courts, Corner of Anderson and Foote Streets. Training is held for one hour on Thursday afternoons at 4pm (U9-U13’s) and 5pm (U15-Opens). Some teams elect to train on an alternative night if they have representative netball or other commitments on Thursday nights. This is done by mutual agreement between the players and coach and a venue is organised by the Club.

All games are played on Saturdays between 9am and 3pm. Teams play at the same time each week.

Do I need to attend training?

Yes. Training is compulsory unless there is a valid reason for not attending. Training is essential for team cohesion and skill development. Please inform your Team Manager or/and Coach if you are unable to attend training.

How much does it cost to play netball with the Panthers each season?

This information can be found on our Registration Page.

Can I play in a different age group?

Players can only play in their own age group or one age group above (e.g., an U11 player can only play in U11 or U13). If a player wants to play in a higher age group, a written request needs to be sent to the Club email address and a decision will be made by the Grading Committee on a case by case basis.

What are the netball seasons?

We play in the Manningham Association in two seasons; Autumn, terms one and two, and Spring; terms three and four.

Can I play in a team with my friends?

When you register you can nominate friends to play in a team with, and the Grading Committee do their best to fulfill these requests, however this is not always possible. From U13 onwards, teams are generally formed according to similar skill levels of players, coverage of all of the positions in a team, and creating a competitive team environment.

How are teams selected?

Teams are selected according to our Grading Policy prior to the Autumn Season. Minimal changes are made between the two seasons – only to accommodate incoming or outgoing players.

Can I still join a team if the season has already started?

If we have any space in our teams, we can accept late registrations, this is a case by case scenario, depending on the suitability of the new player going into the team. This decision is made by the Grading Committee.

When do you offer Net Set Go Sessions?

We usually offer Net Set Go Sessions across both of our seasons. More information can be found here.

Can I sponsor the Club?

Yes, please contact the Club for more information on sponsoring.

We share information with members via email, our social media platforms and Stack Team App. Please use this guide to receive Club communications via Team App and participate in MVP voting.

Team Photos – Thurs 7 March 2023

We have our annual Panthers Club Photo Day just around the corner on Thursday 7 March, at our usual training time between 4-7pm (in the basketball stadium next to the courts).

The photo session with White Line images will be in place of our regular training session on 7 March, as there is no game on 9 March due to the Labour Day long weekend.

Please refer to the below schedule and note what time you need to attend. As we have a lot of teams to get through, it’s really important that all players arrive 10mins prior to their allocated session time, to prevent delays for subsequent sessions. White Line have done a brilliant job in previous years and do run these sessions strictly to time, so it’s important to arrive early.

Ordering:

Orders will open Monday 26 February 9.00am and will close at the end of the shoot on Thursday 7 March. Orders can be placed online www.whitelineimages.com.au during this window, or can be ordered in person with our staff at the venue on March 7 between 4:15pm – 7:00pm. Late orders can be received, but will incur additional fee and charges.

Annual Club Grading Day

Annual Club Grading Day – 1 Feb, 2024

To prepare for the start of the Autumn season, we will be holding our annual Club Grading Day on Thursday 1 February, between 4 and 6pm, to assist the Grading Committee with team selection.

To help us plan for Grading Day PLEASE REGISTER YOUR ATTENDANCE HERE before 5pm on Thursday 25 January.

9/U and 11/U Age Groups – Preseason Activities & Introduction to Grading:

Players in 9/U and 11/U will not participate in the formal grading process but we will be running a “Pre-Season Activities & Introduction to Grading” session for our younger players to enjoy. This will be a fun session of games to get to know each other and some light training.

13/U, 15/U and 17/U Age Groups – Grading Games:

All 13/U, 15/U and 17/U players will need to attend. Once registered, you will receive further information about your court allocation and time of your session.

19/U and Open Age Groups – No attendance required:

Based on current registrations, there won’t be multiple teams in these age groups, so 19/U and Open players will not need to attend Grading Day.

Do you have to attend?

Whilst it is not compulsory for players to attend Grading Day, it is recommended. We aim to make the Panther’s Grading Day as enjoyable and stress-free as possible for all players involved. The overall aim is to help the Grading Committee place new and existing players into teams that will optimise their playing experience (see our Grading Policy for more information). The ultimate goal is that all players want to continue playing netball at the Eltham Panthers and have a quality experience.

What if you can’t attend?

Players who choose not to, or aren’t able to, attend will be placed in a team based on their past experience and any previous coaching evaluations. Please notify the Club by email if you aren’t attending Grading Day via email to panthersjuniornetballclub@gmail.com
